NFL Week 9 Recap

Jets
23
Lions
20
Mark Sanchez looked brilliant running the two-minute offense late. A sign of good things to come. The Jets are the last undefeated team on the road in 2010.

Buccaneers
21
Falcons
27
The Falcons proved that the Bucs are not the best team in the NFC West. Matt Ryan was effective and Michael Turner ran for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Bears
22
Bills
19
When Jay Cutler is good, the Bears win. He threw 2 TDs without an interception. The Bills were surprisingly effective at stopping the run, but the Bears’ defense was much better. Steve Johnson with another big game for the Bills.

Patriots
14
Browns
34
Peyton Hillis is a beast. 220 total yards from scrimmage in this game. Colt McCoy playing solid football in all of his 3 starts this season. The Patriots look very vulnerable after this one.

Cardinals
24
Vikings
27
Brett Favre does is a vampire. He will never die. Favre threw for a career high 446 passing yards and led the Vikings comeback and overtime victory. I guess they didn’t need Moss.

Saints
34
Panthers
3
A pitiful effort from the Panthers, who lost starting quarterback Matt Moore for the season in this game. The Saints are 6-3 going into their bye and are only a half game behind Atlanta for first.

Dolphins
10
Ravens
26
Ray Rice had his all-around best game of the season with 180 total yards from scrimmage (97 receiving). Looks like he may finally break out this season. The Dolphins lost their first road game of the season.

Chargers
29
Texans
23
The Chargers are starting to come to life again. They are closing in on the Raiders and the Chiefs all while having their top receivers injured and out. They’re going to come out on top in the West. Arian Foster stayed hot with another 2 scores.

Giants
41
Seahawks
7
Not much to say about this one. An absolute slaughter from the get go. Giants looking like the team to beat in the weak NFC. Seahawks need Hasselbeck healthy if they want to win the division.

Chiefs
20
Raiders
23
The Raiders’ final drive in the fourth was saved by an amazing catch by rookie WR Jacoby Ford leading to the tying field goal. The Raiders then won it in overtime. They are over .500 this late in the season for the first time since 2002. This division is going to be tight with the surging Chargers catching up.

Colts
24
Eagles
26
Michael Vick played another brilliant game as the Eagles’ starting quarterback and outplayed Peyton Manning. Vick is once again the highest rated quarterback in the NFL this season and is making his team look like a threat to the first place Giants.

Cowboys
7
Packers
45
The Packers took care of business quickly in a game that they should have. Their defense has let up just 7 points in their last 9 quarters. Wade Phillips is out as Cowboys’ head coach, and he definitely did not deserve to keep that job. This team should be trying for that #1 pick now.

Steelers
27
Bengals
21
Ben Roethlisberger got his team back on track in this Monday night victory. The Steelers defense halted the Bengals late comeback. They are neck and neck with the Ravens for first in the North. Terrell Owens continued his successful season with 2 more touchdown catches, the 150th and 151st of his career.
