NFL Week 12 Recap

Jets
26
Bengals
10
Brad Smith did a number on the Bengals just like he did in week 17 last season. The Jets’ defense and special teams carried the offense for the first time in weeks.

Patriots
45
Lions
24
The Lions played the Patriots close for most of the game, but the Pats outscored Detroit 35-7 in the second half.

Saints
30
Cowboys
27
Roy Williams’ late fumble kept the Cowboys from being 3-0 under Jason Garrett. Drew Brees deserves much of the credit for driving his team downfield for the win.

Packers
17
Falcons
20
Matt Ryan and the Falcons are unstoppable at home. The Packers played a great game and can’t be knocked for losing in Atlanta.

Steelers
19
Bills
16
The Bills really gave the Steelers a scare. Lucky for them, Stevie Johnson was not blessed with good hands.

Panthers
23
Browns
24
Jake Delhomme barely managed to pull off the victory against his former team. The Browns went from beating down the Patriots to barely beating the 1 win Panthers. They seem to play up (or down) to the competition.

Jaguars
20
Giants
24
Without star WR Hakeem Nicks, Eli Manning and the Giants had 0 turnovers and pulled off a much needed comeback victory.

Vikings
17
Redskins
13
The Redskins’ lack of a running game killed them against the Vikings and will continue to do so down the stretch. Favre didn’t throw a pick and rookie Toby Gerhart picked up the slack when Adrian Peterson went down with an ankle injury.

Titans
0
Texans
20
The Texans’ pass defense was given a gift by rookie quarterback Rusty Smith. Don’t expect this every week. Andre Johnson got to show Cortland Finnegan who’s boss.

Dolphins
33
Raiders
17
Chad Henne returned early from a season threatening knee injury to lead the Dolphins to the victory in Oakland. Jacoby Ford was the only bright spot for the Raiders on Sunday.

Chiefs
42
Seahawks
24
The Chiefs produced 503 yards of offense against the Seahawks. Dwayne Bowe’s 13 receptions for 170 yards and 3 TDs continues his hot streak over the last 7 weeks.

Eagles
26
Bears
31
Jay Cutler and the Bears took advantage of the Eagles’ banged up secondary. The defense kept Michael Vick in check while he found it tough to run on terrible turf conditions.

Rams
36
Broncos
33
The Rams finally got their first road win on the shoulders of rookie quarterback Sam Bradford. Bradford threw for over 300 yards and 3 TDs without an interception.

Buccaneers
10
Ravens
17
The Bucs’ defense played well against a good Baltimore offense, but the Ravens’ defense took care of business and kept Tampa Bay winless against opponents over .500.

Chargers
36
Colts
14
Peyton Manning threw 4 interceptions…PEYTON MANNING THREW 4 INTERCEPTIONS. The Colts really need to get healthy for them to make their inevitable playoff push. The Chargers are looking like the real deal and a big threat in the AFC.

49ers
27
Cardinals
6
The most exciting part of this one was Derek Anderson’s pissed off press conference afterwards. The 49ers are now 1 game out of first, but lost Frank Gore for the rest of the season with a fractured hip.
